One of my pet remarks is an expression I stole from a TV show, popular before most of my readers I suspect were even born, called "The Golden Girls". One of the characters on the show played a grandmotherly sort, who frequently would preface her remarks regarding some early period in her life by saying---"ahhh yes I remember ---twas a Tuesday----" and then proceed to go on with her remembrance of some particular event----so if ya hang with me any length of time, you will hear me say ---(fill in the blank)---it was a Tuesday! But enough about Tuesdays, my purpose for this input to my blog has to do with a different day of the week.
As most everyone knows I do enjoy gambling, and so am a frequent attendee at my local Casino. I was going to say visitor, but I am there way to often, so attendee is more the apt descriptive. I like this particular casino because it is not a hotel, but just your basic no frills gambling Hall. It has all the basic fundamentals, Black Jack Tables, Craps Tables and enough slot machines to appeal to us regular patrons. I humorously think of it as my "Day" job, and on baad days think of it as my cursed "Addiction" LOL, but I digress---
As most casino's do, this one has regular "special" offerings designed to attract customers. On Mondays they give us cardholders gambling credits with which to gamble with-----you have to gamble it, its not just free cash. The idea, from my perspective anyway, is to "invest" this free money into small calculated bets and if done properly, one can convert (that is to say win bets) and make the gambling credits into real, put it in your pocket, and go home smiling CASH---That's the game plan anyway----
Then on Tuesday and Wednesdays, they offer the ever popular "Twenty for Thirty" gambit. This is where we the customers hand over 20 bucks of OUR money and the casino gives us 30 dollars of CREDITS on our gambling card---to go forth and again make our calculated bets----but here again one has to play all of the gambling credits and if one does not pick winners one kisses their 20 bucks by-by!! but if one is gonna risk 20 bucks , one would be a fool not to take the casino's 10 bucks to play with also.
Weekend days are a mix of various tournaments on the various slot machines, sometimes hot seat promo's and cash drawings---standard every casino operating crap---nothing in particular to get excited over.
Now if you have been paying any attention, you will have noticed I have not mentioned the Casino's Thursday come-ons!! LOL I would have to admit that I find THURSDAYS particularly amusing, and I try not to miss going to the casino on Thursday mornings.----hmmmm how do I explain my amusement with Casino Thursday------

Well first off on Thursdays, the casino only offers you a free 5 bucks worth of credits to gamble with, not much but again one would have to be pretty stupid not to take it. The additional come-on offered is ---wait for it????------FREE Donuts! Like hello, 5 bucks and free donuts ----life is good!! LOL All kidding a side---what I find amusing is watching the characters flock into the casino like they were giving away gold nuggets---the line to get the dough nuts is practically a on going riot, while the line for the five bucks is like ho-hum almost ignored-----but hot damn they ARE damn good donuts-------so its Donut Thursdays for this boy.
